Utsav Camp Sariska | Sleep with the stars, rise with the birds

Hi, I hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to talk about one of the most beautiful places I have visited before COVID19 hit India drastically. We all have been locked up for a pretty long time now but if you are looking for a gateway then this is and this should be your ultimate destination as they have reopened there services maintaining safety protocol.

This trip has been a life-changing experience. Endless realization and humble experiences. I didn’t expect life to turn around and give me the greatest gift of all time and that is to believe and have hope. I will fall short of words to explain the beauty of this place. Sariska is an unknown destination for many and maybe I didn’t bother to pay much attention to a place where there is hardly anything that we call modernization. Surprising this place gives you all that you need. all the essentials of life – Freshwater, 0 pollutions, Electricity, humble people and stress-free life. Every sunrise and sunset is so beautiful and so different. During my stay, I often felt like I was photoshopped or I was just watching those pretty wallpapers.

Life is simple and we complicate it. We fail to realize the true essence of Walking up to birds chirping and sleeping under the stars. As they say, The stars will guide you home, the home where the heart is. Where do I start from – if picture perfect could only sum up how beautiful breathtaking this place is. Being a workaholic I never realized the what does it even mean by the sentence – the art of doing nothing. I learnt it here. I learnt to hear my thoughts. I learnt to be humble. I learnt to be slow, to enjoy every breath I take. From amazzziiingggggg staff to tastiest Rajasthani food. From tea on the lakeside, while watching the sunset to walking around the property village in the morning. Life is so simple, life is so happier out here. I can just go on and on

Here is something more about the property this property is run by Luv Shekhawat

When he bought the land it was a barren piece of land. The first thing that he started doing was putting off a lot of trees In the area But as he was from Hotel Management background he did not have much idea about what is to be planted in such climatic areas but fortunately is grandfather was in the Forest Department irrespective of his old 8 and limitations he kept suggesting me and I kept planting tree after planting 2500 trees after the year or so he realised that only left with 500 because it is a termite prone area. in the meantime Installed solar water panels. He also started drip irrigation And he did all that you can do to make this place for eco friendly. He always had this zeal to open up something different, as due to his grandfather he was exposed to the love for the forest at a very early age he always wanted to do something to give that experience and learning to others.  so as this land was very close to the Jungle the best thing that he could think of was a Jungle lodge. as a nature of a Jungle, the lodge is pretty much different from the whole idea of running a resort. So this place started building a,  it can be pretty will be divided into two phases.  the first one was getting 10 tents installed along with thatched-roof dining hall. two pools and lounge area.  one this was done they opened their Gate for everybody in the year 2015. Utsav camp started running. The ambience, Beautiful scenic location. 10 beautifully handcrafted Eco-friendly Swiss tents and 09 stone cottages which deliver accommodation in utmost luxury and style, with all the modern facilities. Huge and Clean washrooms; you will get all you to need the most necessities.

Jump in the swimming pool or just Sit in the Rooftop cafe. The entire property offers a breathtaking view of the cinematic and majestic Aravalli hills – for those unknown – it is the world’s oldest ranges.

How can I miss out the wildlife? Oh, the safari.

Apart from the Bengal tiger, which went missing during a period due to poaching. It has been restored. Now in 2020, the tiger population in the reserve has risen to 20 if I am not wrong. Other than that you can spot jungle cat, striped hyena, golden jackal, sambar deer, nilgai, wild boar, small Indian civet, Javan mongoose, ruddy mongoose, Northern plains grey langur to name a few. If you are a bird watcher this would be a paradise, I have seen birds which I have never seen before not just that I had to struggle to find the names so here are few that I have spotted casually chilling all around Utsav Camp in general – Peacocks are the most common, grey partridge, Indian peafowl, bush quail, treepie, white-throated kingfisher, golden-backed woodpecker, sandgrouse, crested serpent eagle and the Indian eagle-owl. This place is not just very close to the Sariska national park and wildlife, but also in-between beautiful small countryside villages. Live in the wilderness, closest to nature.

I will try and sum it up by saying, this place will teach you the true meaning of life, which people like us who stays in cosmopolitan cities have forgotten what it feels like. Utsav Camp Sariska would be by far the most relaxing destination I have ever been and I think you can ever find soon. There is much new development which would be taking place like, they are also opening up a spa, yoga and meditation centre. So I can’t wait to visit it all over again. It felt like I was Home. This place is not just very close to the Sariska national park and wildlife, but also in-between beautiful small countryside villages. Our Camp health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to the guest room and common area cleaning procedures. Specific steps Utsav Camp is taking include:

Associate Health, Safety and Knowledge: Hotel associates: and their health, safety and knowledge – are essential to an effective cleaning program. Here are some ways we’re supporting them:

Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It’s important for their health and that of our guests. Surgical masks are provided to all associates.

Ongoing Training: In addition to training on housekeeping and hygiene protocols, hotel associates are also completing enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.

Cleaning Products and Protocols: Our Camp use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses, including:

Guest Rooms: Cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items.

Public Spaces: Increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, door handles, public bathrooms and even room keys.

Back of House: In the spaces where associates work “behind the scenes,” we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrances, locker room, laundry rooms and staff offices. Room Vacant for 24 Hours post-Check-Out: Following guest check out we will keep the room vacant for 24 Hours to commit to the cleaning protocol.
