Skincare at home | Organic And Natural DIY Routine

How did you take care of your skin during the lockdown period? A lot of you asked me this question over and over again through social media as you thought that I was growing even when I was under so much of stress and pressure so I am going to tell you exactly how I take care of my skin during the lockdown using a really simple method which is easily available in the kitchen.
This isn’t just my lockdown routine. These are my all-time go-to products.

First of all, I wanted to deal with my tanned skin and for that, I divided my skincare routine. I said no to face wash for the past 2 months now. I made a scrub out of sugar and coffee. Mix together a half a cup of coffee and 1/3 cup of white or brown sugar. Add 2 spoon of coconut oil into the coffee mixture. Mix until well combined. Gently rub the mixture over your body, face and store the rest for future use. Scrub it gently and leave it on for several minutes. Rinse thoroughly with Luke warm water.

I made face pack out of tomato juice mix with yoghurt and lemon. Take a tomato squeeze or smash out the juice, add two teaspoons of lemon juice and plain yoghurt. Mix it well together and apply it on your face and neck. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes rinse it with lukewarm water. All of these ingredients ensure glowing skin.

I even used rose water which I made at home. I used it while taking bath for extra hydration and relaxation from the scent. Luckily, where. I have been staying we have many rose plants. So I removed the petals from stems and run them under luke-warm water for washing. Add the petals to a pot and top with enough distilled water to just cover don’t put too much water or else you’ll dilute your rosewater. Put it over medium-low heat bring the water to a simmer and cover the pot. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes. Keep checking it the petals will start losing its colour. Strain out the mixture to separate the petals from the water. Discard the petals and place water in a glass jar to store.

This is another DIY face scrub which has been handed down by my grandmother. Take besan and haldi. 4 part of besan and one part haldi, organic haldi preferable. Mix them well, add a handful of dried mint leaves. Mint leaves are amazing, it exfoliates your skin. Mix them together and store it in a glass jar. Use it once a week and you will see the difference.

I definitely did not use any kind of makeup or any other product during this time I have left I let my skin breathe, breath a lot I hydrated I get myself hydrated by drinking juice and lots of water. I practised yoga and would burn calories by just dancing on random music. I kept myself occupied over social media spending an adequate amount of time speaking with friends and family over the phone it has been hard for all of us but I made ways to deal with it differently. Hope you have enjoyed reading this and you will try them at home. These few simple steps can change the way your skin feels. Take care of yourself and your skin 😀 Glow well.
