Radisson Blu Karjat | Exploring The Offbeat Maharashtra

The most anticipated blog is finally curated and here it is!

There is nothing like checking into a grand hotel like Radisson Blu in an offbeat destination. Visiting Radisson Blu Resort and Spa in Karjat has been an overwhelming experience. I have never stayed in Radisson Blu property before this. Being a budget traveller I never thought that I would end up going to Radisson Blu, but I am so glad I did. It is important to pamper yourself, that is what I realised after staying with Radisson Blu. My experience with Radisson has been one of the best ever that I could ever think of by far in my travel journey. We decided to take the local train and explore Karjat locally so we started off really early from Mumbai to avoid traffic. We reached Radisson way before check-in time but they were more than happy to welcome us. We were greeted with a warm smile at the reception. This place gives you a feeling of warmth and a sense of completeness. It is such a beautiful property, this property gives you an Indonesian feel. We were escorted to our room. They had such beautiful corridors and I could not wait to freshen up and explore. The minute I entered the room, I was speechless! The room was so big, airy and well lit. The bathroom was so attractive and the bed was extremely comfortable!

I loved my work corner and they had a spacious work corner. The room had an attached balcony with an overview of the Olympic sized swimming pool and beyond. Being there made me feel like a kid again. We quickly took some rest and headed out for breakfast, a late breakfast but a lavish one. I went straight to the dessert corner. I could not keep my eyes or hands off the desserts. But while I got stuck on the desserts I noticed that the buffet was huge. They provide a buffet service every day for breakfast, lunch, dinner, this includes 18 dishes in total which – 2 soups, freshly baked loaves of bread, Main course that includes Indian and Chinese, 8 – 10 types of salads & 8 different kinds of desserts. Fresh Juice, Tea, Coffee is available at any hour. Apart from Buffet they also have a la carte menu. The restaurant is known as “The palm” a Multi-Cuisine restaurant. A huge appetite calls for a huge kitchen and has about around 120 staff members. Lead by The head chef – Chef Rajiv.

We met him and had a cooking class, in spite of his busy schedule he cooked lasagna for me. Such a humble man, we also had a chit chat session, followed by organic farming.  Rajiv was kind enough and gave me a tour of their organic farm. All the fruits and veggies cooked are grown organically. They care a lot about what their guests eat and make sure to keep their health in mind.

Hospitality makes a beautiful place even more beautiful. It feels like home. Each and every staff member of Radisson made me feel like that.

In the evening I wanted to just chill by the pool. So I went for a swim while I watched the sunset over the Western Ghats. Times like this is what makes me realise the worth of life.

I just want to capture everything in my memories. After a good swim and long relaxing session by the pool, we decided to hit the dance floor.

Yes, they have a place to party. A brew lounge which offers happy hour from 11 – 7 with a super cool DJ paying tracks that will make you groove. A pool table and both indoor and outdoor seating area can easily hold up to 150 people. I tried my hands on the pool table,  just to pose but surprisingly I made some great moves.

Then we headed down for dinner. We stuffed ourselves day in and day out. So I am not going to talk about food anymore because I eat and eat and eat and I will just share all the pictures so that you can see it yourself about how much I have stuffed myself during my stay.

Our day 1  was called off as soon as I hit the bed, I travelled down to my La La Land in no time. Sounds like the perfect night right? Next morning we caught the sunset from our balcony. We already had a scheduled spa session followed by a property tour. I was really excited about the spa session. Travelling is beautiful but at the same time it is energy consuming so the spa was like a treatment to my soul. They gave a 90-minute spa treatment and used essential oil. The music was very soothing and at the end of it, I felt very relaxed. The staff were very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. the spa was undoubtedly the best part, It was just WOW!

After the Spa session, I was so rejuvenated. I could hear my skin my body telling me to thank you endless time. They also got me my favourite green tea. Not just my face and body my heart was overwhelmed with the gestures and laugh that each and every staff Member poured out for us. We decided to take an afternoon nap and then go around the property. We explore the different rooms and houses.  I was not very surprised to know that they have about 102 rooms Superior costs about 9-10k, Delux comes up to 11-12k, Business costs up to 15k Suit costs 20k along with 26 villas where the Rowhouses cost 35k for a 3bhk!!

Unlike many resorts, they have parking for 100 cars, and the row houses have their own parking.

If you wish to, you can also cycle around the property or play outdoor games like football, cricket, basketball. If you are a gym freak they also got it covered they have a well-equipped fitness centre.

Radisson caters to people from different walks of life. From corporates to family, to your chill time with friends. You can also hold conferences, wedding parties in this property. As they have One Big Conference Hall which can be divided into two, a Banquet Hall which can be divided into 3 that can house up to 350 people in total, 2 huge Conference Hall and A Ballroom.

From indoors to outdoor it is well organised, well taken care of. Everything is so planned and in its place that you can’t just go wrong. My experience with Radisson surely captured my heart and raise the standard and expectations in a different level. It made me realise that everyone deserves to be pampered and Radisson knows how to meet all your needs. It was heart-wrenching to say that our day was coming to an end as we had so much fun. Our day was so chilled and relaxed while being surrounded by lovely people passing a smiling each time you cross them. We ended our day with a lovely dinner near the pool on request. After dinner, we headed back to our room and started packing up as we were supposed to leave towards our next destination.

Next day morning as I woke up, it kind of set in that we have to leave and It was hard to say goodbye to each one of them but we promised to be back sometime soon without hope in our hearts we took off from the property. We were still exploring Kajat so they offered to drop us to our next location and we happily said “YES”.

Radisson also offers a pickup and drop service from Mumbai to Karjat property at special request. With all these undeniably unique and amazing amenities, so professional yet loving staff members make Radisson stand out!

This is a must-visit and I sincerely recommend it. I have come to the conclusion that this is the best way to live a lavish life even when you are a budget traveller because we all deserve it.
